Hello, I'm Amna Shah, a recent graduate of the National College of Arts Lahore, and I am a visual artist passionate about documenting the stories around me. Hailing from Sindh, my latest project, "Volume 1," is part of a photobook series that explores the lives of Hindu minorities in Sindh. Focused on capturing their daily struggles and the fading tradition of tattoo marking, predominantly practiced by Hindu women, this project aims to provide a glimpse into their rich culture and roots. As someone deeply connected to Sindh, this work is a personal journey to preserve the long-lost cultural traditions that are at risk of fading away within years. Through my lens, I strive to convey the importance of cultural identity and contribute to the collective effort of safeguarding the invaluable heritage of Sindh's Hindu minorities. Join me in this visual journey as we explore and appreciate the intricate tapestry of Sindh's cultural heritage, one fading tradition at a time.
